I am eternally grateful for the endless and unconditional love of my Maker and Savior, Jesus Christ. He truly lives.

I am grateful for the pattern of prayer that He taught in the scriptures. Through it, I came to know His existence even though I do not see Him. I am grateful for His Atonement and its enabling power to bless and heal His children. I am grateful for His commandments that kept me safe.

I am grateful for His Kingdom here on earth, the Temple, that made me feel more His presence, love, and peace. It always feels like home to be in the Temple.

I am grateful for the restoration of His gospel that blesses lots of people in this dispensation. I am grateful for His plan, for His creation, and everything He do.

I know these things are true because I prayed about it. I witnessed His miracles throughout my mission. I witnessed His love throughout my trials. He’s my strength, and without Him, I wouldn’t know where to go and what to do.

Day 6 of 7

#GiveThanks (Day 1 of 7)

I had a though week but I want to share the things that I am grateful for.

I’m grateful for the hope and faith I developed throughout my journey in the church and gospel. It’s never easy to stay strong when your thoughts are messed up but my faith gave me hope that there’ll be good times – that no matter how dark it is, the light will come, even gradually.

I’m grateful for the pain I’m feeling everyday because they made me strong and matured along the way. I’m grateful for the emotional illness that I had because it made me humble to trust the Savior more than myself.

And tonight, a bad dream woke me up from deep sleep. I’m honestly breaking down while writing this, but I’m proud of how I manage to still write. I’m proud of how hard I’m trying to show up on my friends and social media.

Good night

A bittersweet journey (You are a chosen vessel)

Written by Racquel Rañeses

I didn’t grow up in the church. I had no idea how it feels to live church’s protocols, or be with people who are active in the church. I made a lot of mistake in my youth days, which I cannot mention. I partied a lot of times and went home late, until one day, a realization hit me – I wanted a change. I wanted to stop my mind in questioning if there is God.

One day, a group of people with white polo, slacks, and name tag called out on our house. I was kind of annoyed that day, however, my father let them in. They shared a little message about their beliefs and in that moment I felt something different, peace, calm, and wants to hear more from them.

They came back several times in our home. Though I was a little bit hesitant, I listened and tried to absorb their messages and invitations. An impression came to my mind that their message was the answer to the question I’ve been asking for so long, if “is there a God and does He really lives?”

There is God, there is hope. He lives and answers in mysterious way that we never thought could happen.

Now, I’m a member of that church, The Church of Jesus Christ of latte-day Saints. A returned missionary from Philippines Naga Mission, and a living proof that God lives. The gospel is true. It can change and transform us to the better version of ourselves. By the small faith that I had to change and be better helped me to appreciate the gospel, and the Atonement of the Savior.

Anyone can change. And anyone can have their own version story of “You’re a chosen vessel.”

Pure Love Has No Condition

I believe that pure love is unconditional. You pray and wish peace, happiness, and goodness for someone you love without expecting any response or attachment. There is no condition for it.

You don’t stop loving someone from a far. Keep great people in your heart with a hope of peace in your own life.

January 2020

She has flaws. She maybe kind to everyone but she only need few people who will stay and listen when everything becomes a mess. Advices, comments, and opinions weren’t necessary because she knows where to get the right answers. Compliments were all nonsense when her loved ones can’t give it to her, or at least show sympathy from all of her achievements. She doesn’t want anyone to think that she’s too good to be true and can do all of the tasks that will be given to her, all that she wants is for them to accept that she’s a human who has flaws and imperfections, made mistakes from the past and continuously making mistakes.
She may seem tough all the times, but remember what was written in Lorelei’s poetry that “even the strongest break in secret.”

The Light and Peace of the world

Are you broken? Or, do you feel empty most of the time? There is only One way to be fixed and feel complete and that way is our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. He loved us and will forever loves us.

This afternoon, I was reading The Book of Mormon, one of the scripture in the church where I belong, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

While reading, few verses from the 9th chapter of third Nephi caught my attention. I was inspired and comforted, thus I decided to post it here on my blog, so anyone who would read it may feel what I have felt.

“Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive, and blessed are those who come unto me.

Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I created the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are. I was with the Father from the beginning. I am in the Father, and the Father in me; and in me hath the Father glorified his name.

I came unto my own, and my own received me not. And the scriptures concerning my coming are fulfilled.

And as many as have received me, to them have I given to become the sons [and daughters] of God; and even so will I to as many as shall believe on my name, for behold, by me redemption cometh and in me the law of Moses fulfilled.

I am the light and the life of the world. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.”

-Third Nephi 9:14-18

These verses will help us open our minds in the mysteries of God. To those who are believers and unbelievers, I want to testify that Jesus is the Living Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. He is the way and there is none other way, nor name given for us to feel peace, receive the light, and find true and eternal happiness in this life. But only through accepting Jesus Christ in our lives and striving to keep His commandments, even to the end.

He is the Man that made me feel endless and extraordinary person. We could reach our full potential through Him.

Let us light this world through light of Christ.
